Cats Playing Poker

by Susan Attai for Re-Invent a Work of Art (2013)

I used:
Chavant modeling clay, (all the cats)
steel wire (armature and gun turrets)
canvas board (back wall)
floral foam block (felt on top of the poker table)
glue bottle (to stick all the parts together)
glue stick (cut into small pieces and then drilled hollow for drinking glasses)
oak plywood (for chairs, floor and table top)
wooden dowels. (for the guns and as a tool to smooth the clay - like a rolling pin)
rope (shredded for whiskers)
I also used the box picture for the photo hanging on the back wall. I also used the cardboard instruction sheet for the poker chips, playing cards and "Simon's Cat" structural base.

With the exception of Puss-in-Boots and the Cheshire Cat, the others are based on famous internet cats. Starting with Puss and going left, they are Simon's Cat, Maru, Lil Bub, Tard, Cheshire and Colonel Meow.

I have Cheshire trying to peek at Tard's cards and Simon cat trying to bribe Puss for a snack. The Colonel knows this and is not pleased so he's got his guns aimed at them.
