Hazy Heartlessness

Inspiration Piece: Misty Mood

Inspiration Artist: Leonid Afremov

We started out brainstorming ideas. Since we were interpreting a piece of art that has already been made, we wanting to do something to make it unique. That's how we thought of robots. Leonid's piece used lots of paint strokes and dots. Erika and I, decided to use geometric shapes instead. I used an eraser to stamp a blue background on the canvas while Erika painted the grass. We played with different ideas; eventually, we ended up making the robots out of sculpey and the lights out of plastic pellets. A scroll saw was used to cut the trees, and the umbrella and the lamp posts were made with the wire.
