Inspiration Piece: Santiago El Grande

Inspiration Artist: Salvador Dali

I shredded part of the canvas to make the mist on the water on the oak plywood. I broke up and cut some of the thin wood for my rocks in the background. I used watercolors for the backgrounds and acrylic for the figures. I cut thin wood and painted canvas pieces for the background. I used scissors to cut the glue stick and used the Elmer's glue for the beams in the background. The other half of the glue stick was used to hold the Christ. I made Christ out of the melted Friendly plastic pellets. I also made the four angels out of the pellets can you find all four angels? It was so much fun playing with the plastic pellets I can’t wait to get my hands on some more pellets. For the horse I used a small block of wood, wire the clippings that came in the box and some rope and clay. I used the wire and clay for the rider. The Madonna in the right hand corner was made from the floral foam block
