Inspiration Piece: The Scream

Inspiration Artist: Edvard Munch

The oak plywood was cut into strips and a base piece with a scroll saw for the boardwalk and fence, the hardwood veneers were cut into strips with a utility knife for the planking on the boardwalk.
The walnut block was cut in half and the shaped with a scroll saw and a drum sander to form the two figures, their arms were made from strips cut from the oak plywood and shaped on a drum sander. al pieces were then assembled using the white glue.
the plate and birthday cake were cut from the floral foam block and shaped with a utility knife, the candles on the cake are pieces of the steel wire, cut with a wire cutter.
The backdrop is made from the canvass board, and the entire piece sits on the canvass cloth.
All coloring and staining was done with acrylic paint.
