The Swan King

by Madison Waaler and Julia Robles and Alyssa Candioto for Re-Invent a Work of Art (2013)

Inspiration Piece: Neuschwanstein Castle, 1886

The building is made of cardboard and the ceiling is made of wood. Cardboard seemed like the best choice for the castle because there was an abundance of it. The swan was modeled in sculpey and a wire armature underneath. The bushes and tree were made out of the newsprint and painted green. The ground is made out of the wooden board. The path is made from plastic pellets.
