"Disney Dreams"

by Peyton Pye for Build A Dream (2014)

The materials that I used to make Mickey Mouse are a plastic egg, two wooden discs, wire, plaster casting wrap, and bronze copper acrylic paint. The materials that I used to make Walt Disney are a mannequin, clay, and powder pigment paint( didn't mix with water). The materials that I used to make to make the background clouds are a flat canvas, and acrylic paint. The materials that I used to make the castle are a cardboard canvas, and acrylic paint. The materials I used to make the front clouds are parts of the mannequin box, and acrylic paint. The materials I used to make the towers are the foam dowel, paper, and acrylic paint. The materials I used to make the base of the stand are packing peanuts, wood sticks, the box, and acrylic paint. The techniques I used to make my project was a hot glue gun, regular Elmers glue, metallic paint, and acrylic paint.

My inspiration to make this statue was how I felt when I first saw it walking through the gates to Disney World. When I saw this statue it made me smile, because I have always loved Mickey Mouse. I chose this theme because Mickey Mouse has always been one of my favorite Disney characters, also I felt that it was the perfect project for me because of all the things that Disney has impacted in my life.
