I used the cardboard box within the outer box as a framework for my project. I painted the wooden mannequin copper color who was supposed to represent me building my recycled house. I then cut up the plaster cloth wrap into different shapes and painted them the colors that were to be found in my recycled house. I glued them to the square basswood dowels that I poked through the cardboard box and painted. Finally, I glued the picture of the recycled house to the hands of the mannequin.
I visited a community of recycled houses made from tires and other expendable materials outside Taos, New Mexico and decided that I would like one like them some day.
