The Tarzan Dreamhouse

by Aspen Baldwin for Build A Dream (2014)

Ive never really had much 3D experience so I just wanted to see what I could do. I wanted to use all the materials I could for the project. First I started to make the small details that would be added on as the finishing touches. I did use all but the chicken wire with my project. I was able to re purpose things too like the ear. I took the ear and painted it to look like a life boat. Luckily it worked and was a lifeboat. I used the cardboard box a lot too and a lot of paint and pastels. I probably repainted it a lot just adding a ton of new colors to make it the way I visioned. I was able to make it the perfect and realistic yet abstract way I wanted it to look.

When I was little I always wanted to build my "Dream Treehouse" I loved climbing in the trees and I always looked up to one of my favorite Disney characters, Tarzan. I wanted to keep my own concepts and make the tree house abstract, yet real looking as well. He was able to run free in the jungle and he had the amazing tree house. It was always a dream of mine when I was little to build a tree house I could live in. So I decided to do just that, build my dream. I built my very own "Tarzan Dream Treehouse"
