Wild Life on a Tiny Patio

by Terri Treiber for Build A Dream (2014)

Five birds were shaped using Van Aken Modeling Clay and covered with strips of plaster cloth. Each bird was cut apart to remove and reuse the clay and patched together with more plaster cloth. Wire mesh was used to create rings which were attached to the backs of the birds with plaster cloth. All of the birds were first coated with primer and then painted and varnished. Finally, they were hung outdoors (on a tiny patio) with aluminum wire.

Our dream is to have a garden filled with life on our tiny patio.
