Dancing in the Moonlite

by Irene T. Morse for Somewhere in Time (2015)

First I built 2 armatures, then soaked canvas panel & painting board in hot water and pulled them apart layer by layer .I used all the paper in the box for their outer bodys and the foam sheet & styrofoam disc to fill the armatures.Died 1/2 burlap red for ladys hair & 1/2 for mmans hair.Wrapped the red died burlap around straws and dipped it in boiling water for 30sec.this was the ladys hair.I used acrylic gel & glue +paper & clay to finish them.Cloth bag for her dress.Plywood disc & wood blocks for dance floor. Tools drumel, sculping knifes, paint brushes,Vice, razer blades. I used acrylic paint & acrylic gel, glue, varnish, boiling water.

I was inspired by my husband Fred.He has not been able to walk for 1 year.We plan to go dancing as soon as he can walk agin.We have been dancing together for 59 years .We started dancing together when we were 14 &15 we are now 74 &73.Hoping the doctor releases him to walk tomarow.
